ABOUT US

West Country Trimmers was established nearly 40 years ago. It was started by Norman Broom to re-furbish and repair the interiors of Rolls Royce, Bentley and quality motor cars for exclusive clients. The company quickly gained reputation for excellence.

We are now run by Guy Broom who has over 25 years experience as an automotive trimmer. Aged 18, Guy won a young Enterprise award from the Daily Express. Graduating with an honours degree in product design he then joined his father in the family run firm. Working on full interior restoration work on a wide variety of vehicles including vintage, classic and modern, exclusive yachts and small aircraft, Guy continues the firm’s tradition of hand-crafted excellence.

Our modern workshop with over 2,500sq.ft. of interior space is situated in South Devon at Blue Water Industrial Estate, Pottery Road, Bovey Tracey and is easily accessed from the A38 at Drumbridges Roundabout.

West Country Trimmers is family-owned and continues its reputation of excellence with personal quality service for customers around the country.

OUR WORK

From small seat repairs to full re-trims, if you want the job done properly then we are the company to trust. We only use the highest quality leathers and hold a wide selection of samples from a number of trusted automobile leather suppliers, giving us the best chance to match colours and leathers to your original specification.

We stock a large quality of vinyl on the roll, besides a range of trim materials including zips, foams, trim clips other fasteners, and adhesives.

We pride ourselves on reproduction to original specification from making new hoods for classic and vintage cars to modern hoods. We have an extensive quantity of templates for hoods, seats and carpets including Volkswagen, Lotus and TVR

Seat Repairs

Worn-out or damaged, we can repair or replace the fabric and foams to give seats a new life. We can even re-pad seats and build them up to give that extra support.

Hoods

We fit replacement hoods to original standards from trusted suppliers. Damaged rear PVC rear windows can usually be replaced to your old hood. We can make hoods for all models of TVR from our own templates, refined and improved from the originals. Hoods can be made for models with no factory-made equivalent including vintage and rare vehicles.

Headlinings

Headlinings can be tailor made to your vehicle in vinyls, union cloths, wool cloths and modern nylon fabrics as originals or custom if you prefer. Additionally, moulded board headliners which have dropped can be removed, cleaned and recovered.

Carpets

We have a wide variety of Automotive Carpet short pile, wool, Wilton and similar. We provide a tailor-made fitting service for your car, with cut and bound edges for a quality finish.

Volkswagen Camper -Split, Bay, T25, T4, T5

From re-trimming headlinings on early splits to full leather interiors on T5’s we can trim to your design. We work with a number of local van converters and cover rock n’roll beds and seats to produce individual finish. The quality shows in the detail.

Marine Re-Trimming

From rib seats to 100ft. sailing yachts, call us to discuss your requirements. We can also supply marine vinyls and carpets.
